Craig Hillman

Craig Hillman, CEO and Managing Partner
Dr. Hillman‘s specialties include best practices in Design for Reliability (DfR), strategies for transitioning to Pb-free, supplier qualification (commodity and engineered products), passive component technology (capacitors, resistors, etc.), and printed board failure mechanisms. Dr. Hillman has over 40 publications and has presented on a wide variety of reliability issues to over 200 companies and organizations.

Nathan Blattau

Nathan Blattau, Vice President
Dr. Blattau has been involved in the packaging and reliability of electronic equipment for over eight years. Dr. Blattau is also experienced in failure analysis and accelerated testing methods. His primary research interests are in the areas of design-for-reliability in electronic packaging, nonlinear finite element analysis, solder joint reliability, fracture, and fatigue mechanics of materials.

Gerd Fischer

Gerd Fischer, Senior Technical Staff
Dr. Fischer has more than 15 years' experience in physics, development and analytical procedures, with an emphasis on failure analysis and design. He has conducted Failure Analysis of automotive, industrial, consumer and medical electronics, and has conducted investigations of material breakdown in electronic connectivity and passive devices.

Norm Anderson, Senior Technical Staff
Through his 37 years of experience in avionics, Mr. Anderson has become a renowned leader in a number of reliability, safety and life cycle issues. His areas of expertise include development of reliability programs, end-of-life predictions, product qualification procedures (including highly accelerated life testing (HALT), identification of safety critical items, fault tree analysis (FTA) and failure modes and effects analyses (FMEA), component uprating, obsolescence prediction and mitigation, and performance monitoring of fielded products and systems.

James McLeish

James McLeish, CRE, Senior Technical Staff & Michigan Office Manager
Mr. McLeish has 30 years of automotive Electrical/Electronics (E/E) experience. He has worked in systems engineering, design, development, production, validation, reliability and quality assurance of both components and vehicle systems. He holds three patents, is the author or co-author of three GM E/E validation and test standards and is credited with the introduction of Physics-of-Failure engineering techniques to GM.

Bob Esser

Bob Esser, Senior Technical Staff
Prior to joining DfR, Dr. Esser was a senior engineer at Dynamics Research Corporation. At Dynamics Research he was the directorate for Missile Defense Agency (MDA)/Manufacturing and Producibility (MP). In that position he was the primary point of contact for reliability, packaging and radiation hardening of electronics, electro-optics and infrared sensors.

John McNulty

John McNulty, Director of Business Development for East Asia/Bay Area & West Coast Office Manager
Dr. McNulty has worked on the packaging, reliability, and failure analysis of telecom devices and commercial laser systems for over nine years. He has designed and executed accelerated testing plans for individual components and multi-component devices, including Telcordia and military qualification testing, and was a committee member involved in the revision of Telcordia GR-468-CORE (covering active devices).
