DfR Solutions has expertise in performing thermomechanical measurements using the Perkin-Elmer Pyris-1 Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). This instrument measures the absorption and emission of heat energy from a sample that has been heated, cooled, and/or maintained at a constant temperature. The DSC is particularly useful in determining material melting points, glass transition temperatures, curing and crystallization rates, and identifying phase transformations.

The DSC has a temperature range from -170°C to 730°C.
