DfR Solutions can conduct life tests of electrolytic capacitors exposed to ripple current at frequencies between 100Hz and 1.5MHz.  The ripple current generates excess heat which raises the temperature within the capacitor.  As functionality within specifications and life of an electrolytic capacitor is highly dependent upon temperature, ripple current testing is necessary to determine the life of the capacitor.  Current applied is adjustable up to 5.0A RMS.
