Infrared Thermography

DfR Solutions has the capability to perform non-contact temperature measurements and imaging.

Thermal, or infrared, energy is light that is not visible to the human eye because the wavelength is too long. Light at these wavelengths is perceived as heat. Everything emits infrared energy that is above absolute zero so even ice will emit infrared energy. Infrared thermography cameras produce images by assigning visible colors to thermal energy intensity.

Infrared thermography is a very useful tool in finding obscured electrical shorts and thermal hot spots. DfR Solutions uses a FLIR Thermovision A20M.
