DfR Solutions Discusses Board and Box Level Qualification

Beltsville, MD – June 14, 2018 – DfR Solutions, leader in quality, reliability, and durability (QRD) solutions for the electronics industry, today announced that Ed Dodd, Vice President of Business Development, is speaking about Board Level Testing at the NASA Electronic Parts and Packaging Program. Mr. Dodd’s session takes place on 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 21. DfR Solutions is a pioneer in Reliability Physics analysis and works closely with the Aerospace industry to improve electronics reliability and safety.

Testing at the box level is generally not sufficient to expose design weaknesses that are revealed in separate testing. This often results in overdeveloped test programs which undermine the cost and time savings associated with box level qualification.  In his talk, Mr. Dodd will reveal how reliability simulation of various states coupled with test verification can provide shortened test times and decreased cost while providing assurance over a range of conditions.

The NEPP Program generates technical knowledge and recommendations about electrical, electronic, electromechanical (EEE) part performance, application, failure modes, test methods, reliability and supply chain quality within the context of NASA space flight missions and hardware.
