CARY, NC USA - June 30, 2008 - Paumanok Publications, Inc. and DfR Solutions today announced that the two companies have created a partnership to offer teardown reports and analysis that will focus on the passive electronic component content in a variety of electronic subassemblies and devices.

The first project is the teardown of two multi-core computer microprocessors- the AMD Phenom 9500 and the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600- with an emphasis upon the capacitor and resistor solutions that make them operate efficiently and effectively.

Through Paumanok’s worldwide market and technology expertise in passive electronic components, and DfR Solutions state-of-the-art laboratories and scientific expertise, the two companies aspire to offer passive component manufacturers detailed analysis on how their products are being deployed for decoupling, filtering and resistive solutions in today’s advanced product designs.

According to Dennis Zogbi, CEO and Founder of Paumanok Publications, Inc., “This partnership will benefit my existing customers by offering a detailed analysis of how passive components are being used at the customer level, not simply based upon case size and dielectric, but also based upon performance characteristics, voltage ratings and layout, which to my knowledge has never been done before.”

“We are very excited about the potential this partnership brings to passive component manufacturers,” said Craig Hillman, CEO of DfR Solutions. “Our first teardown has revealed some fascinating comparisons as to how AMD and Intel differ with respect to their decoupling solutions for their multi-core microprocessors.”

The first teardown report will be released in July 2008.
