College Park, MD – February 25, 2009 – DfR Solutions is very proud to announce that Dr. John McNulty, Director of Business Development for East Asia/Bay Area and West Coast Office Manager, and Dr. Randy Schueller, Manager of the Minnesota Office, will be at the IPC/JEDEC Conference on Pb-Free Electronics in Santa Clara, California, on Thursday, March 5. Dr. McNulty will be presenting “Understanding Failure and Root-Cause Analysis in Pb-Free Electronics.” Dr. Schueller will provide “A Practical Guide to Managing Your Pb-Free Transition.”
“This presentation focuses on specific failure analysis and reliability issues associated with Pb-free assemblies, particularly component temperature and moisture sensitivity, tin whiskers, and PCB degradation and solderability,” said Dr. McNulty.
Regarding his presentation, Dr. Randy Schueller added, “Most Pb-Free classes do a good job of introducing students to the myriad of Pb-Free issues and concerns that can potentially cause unreliable products. This class will go further by showing how to mitigate these potential problems and develop appropriate test plans so you have confidence in building and shipping your Pb-Free products.”
